We still remember this case drawing a small crowd of admiring onlookers when we first took it out the box. With its thick aluminium exterior, hinged side panels and an extremely tidy interior design, the EVOLV ATX is a great-looking chassis. However, it also excels functionally as well, with outstanding options for both air and water-coolers, a vast selection of useful features and quality accessories and ease of use that goes beyond almost anything on the market. It's a fantastic all-rounder and one of the best cases to launch in the whole of 2015.
We weren't sure about putting this one in the list as in some ways it was a disappointment. Despite this being AMD's new flagship product, the GTX 980 Ti retained the performance crown, especially at resolutions below 4K. It also didn't overclock well at all, especially next to Nvidia's Maxwell cards. Nonetheless, the R9 Fury X was an important launch as it was the first time we were able to see HBM being used instead of GDDR5, and it's this that allows the card to be so small. It was also a sharp improvement in build quality compared to previous AMD reference designs, so while it wasn't everything we hoped it would be it was far from an outright failure and definitely one of 2015's more memorable and important releases.
